Why am I still in Seattle?!
Well, one of the reasons is the IWFL Championship Game. IWFL is the Independent Women’s Football League. The Seattle Majestics are taking on the Dallas Diamonds this Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Seattle.
I’m fairly excited about this. Most folks don’t know that there are minor league football teams, let along minor leagues womens’ football leagues. So on Saturday, we’ll go watch them womens play the football. Fun!
Incidentally, there is a Central Pennsylvania team called The Vipers. They didn’t do as well this year as they had hoped. They didn’t win a single game and actually didn’t even score a single point. Better luck next season, gals!
And on another note, PCN now has the Gettysburg DVDs for sale. It’s a right rip off, if you ask me, but I’ll probably end up getting them once I get back. Here and here.
It’s looking like I’ll be getting home on the 25th.

Wheeling has an indoor football team, the Wheeling Nailers.
They went undefeated one season, the only pro football team to ever do so besides the Miami Dolphins.

That’s my football team! I was the videographer as my fiance (the usual videographer) was announcing that day. Hope you enjoyed the game! Enjoy the rest of your journeys cross country. My number is 66 (I’m injured this year.) in honor of Route 66 and all the fabulous memories I have from roadtripping with my family!

I was at that game with him, we had a blast. And my two year old son now likes football because it is played by “pretty-pretties” as he says. awesome!

Oh wow! Hi! Sorry about the loss. It looked like you gals were pretty beat up at the end of the season. When I get out to Seattle, I plan on making pretty much every home game. I really dug it.
And VERY cool about your number being 66.
