Again (and again), the donations would *only* go to Food For Life (the charity that I’ve picked - more on that later). None of the donations would be used for the trip. All would go to the charity.

You should be careful being ironic. I have often thought I was saying stuff so over the top that it was obvious I was being ironic and then found out people took it at face value.

Especially since it appears you have readers who don’t know you personally and don’t know how charmingly ironic you tend to be.

Though if I was to extend the irony, I would say that in order to facilitate the scooter protection you should use the donations to buy a Vespa dealership.

Dwija wants me to tell you that he thinks it would be perfectly acceptable to use some of the money you raise to buy a new scooter, a new tent, a new garage to store your scooter, and a new house to go with the garage. And you can class that as “scooter protection” expenses. (Scooter raksa seva, I didn’t get it at first.)

Totally. Gas, food, lodging, money for trinkets and hookers, spare tires, extra coats of wax, beer and, most importantly, gray convenience store hot dogs will all be covered by donations sent in to the charity. I mean, why wouldn’t that all be covered?

Oh, and I’m afraid I’m going to have to give you a ticket. You guys are having too much fun!
