Eight days in a regular work-a-day week is nothing, it's just one Saturday to the next. But eight non-work days in a new town with new people can be an eternity, especially after a month on the road by yourself. It's definitely enough time to start sprouting roots in a cool town like Berkeley. I'm going to buy you a helmet cam. You're bound to find at least one more biker gang on your journey! The footage would be priceless. Funny they didn't even acknowledge you, maybe they were scared. :-) Time is relative.
