Yep, I’m vegan, so finding food is pretty well not possible.

The problem I’m finding is that by the time I pull into larger places, I’m too tired to find food. And along the way, there’s nothing.

Chinese is alright though.

Local stuff? No idea. Mostly it seems to be diners, a Route 66 staple, of course. But also part of the McReason that McAmerica is McGigantic.

Well hey thanks! It’s kind of an honor to see how many people are doing just that (about 100ish people read the blog per day). I do understand it as I’m reading other travel blogs as I go and living vicariously through them.

As to why all the same boring crap is on the news everyday, I guess it’s what sells. So it must be what people (think they) want. Too bad it’s not what they need.

We had such a GREAT time visiting with you Eric when you came by today, that we just had to read your journal! What an absolutely fantastic way of putting your trip into words.
Looks like the Vespa has enough room on her to carry the whole world down Route 66.
WOW what a trip! We`ve got the wind blowing in our hair, get to see all the cool People, Places and Things, eat all the best food, stay at the best places, and all for 60 MPG!!! What a BARGAIN, what a GREAT PRICE!

So, I just finished reading day 14 and thought it’s about time I say thanks. You could just be riding across the country keeping your own private journal. But no, you take the time to share it. That’s really cool, I enjoy every day of it. I’ll hit the road for a while later this summer, but for now I’m stuck here in Washington, Pennsylvania. Living vicariously through you is as good as it gets right now.

With so many intersting places and people across this country, why is the same boring, depressing crap in the news every day? Those people get paid to write, but you’re kind enough to offer this for free. Thanks again!
