I just got the new Sparks album and holy freaking crap it’s amazing. A HUGE thank you to Dwija for introducing me to this band. I’m in the process of getting everything they’ve ever done. He made some comment about how newer Sparks isn’t so great. But after hearing this album, I’ll have to disagree.

What an amazing band!

This album, Exotic Creatures of the Deep, has a weird Danny Elfman feel to it. It’s very orchestral and operatic. HOW have these guys not written the score for a million Tim Burton films? How?

Maybe it’s an acquired taste. Maybe I’m one of the only ones who would like this. But honestly, Exotic Creatures is pretty much my new favorite album ever.
