It’s the Space Needle, LOL!

Two posts about Seattle in one day?! Goodness! When will the fun end?!

Well, my dear mother requested that I take pictures of this town and so that’s what we did today.

First, we hit the Space Needle (the real one), which is a fun little structure built for the World’s Fair in 1962. We were just going to walk around it, but since it was a ridiculously sunny and beautiful day, we decided to fork over the dough and head to the top.

I’m glad we did. There are tons of pictures of this. Literally.

After the tower, we walked around a bit and then headed to the Sculpture Park. And then headed north to Carkeek Park, which is a great gem only three miles from us.

Again, tons of pics.

And you can see them here!

Also, if you’re interested in the World’s Fair in Seattle, check out this MST3K short, won’t you?

Gas Works Park

Last evening, Smartz and I took a drive to Gas Works Park near Fremont, which is a bit south of where we live. It’s about a ten minute drive.

I visited it when I was in Seattle over the summer and really dug it. Not sure why it took so long to get there, but glad we finally did.

We took thirty some pictures and I trust you’ll take a look at them.

Tomorrow we plan on taking in a few other sites. I’ll show you later.

For now, enjoy the pictures of Gas Works Park, ok?
