Civil War Trip Day 3 – Lexington!

A full day off in Lexington with Olivia as a tour guide is hardly a full day off. We saw a ton of things. Including the graves of Lee and Stonewall Jackson… and their horses!

You can check it all out here.

I was in Lexington once, right after Sommersby was filmed there. The locals really weren’t in a good mood towards “cityfolk” then. I slept in Lee’s house at the university there. If I recall, Lee’s horse is stuffed and on display…

Stonewall’s horse is sort of stuffed. You’ll see in the pics.

How did you sleep in Lee’s House?? Weird.

How it worked out was my mother had an exhibition of her work at the university and they put us up in Lee’s house. My father was stoked to sleep in Lee’s bedroom for some odd reason.

I would be completely stoked. Ridiculously stoked.

Lucy Flippin Buford! Hahhahahhahahhahaa!!!!!

I think we would have loved it, calmly found out what was “kosher”, then jumped over the counters and devoured tray loads!! Yummy!

The cement horse is really creepy…and I feel so sad that nobody gave Little Sorrel an apple. Oh well, maybe he can have some chocolate…
