Let me tell you about the past two days

I know that I don’t usually cover a whole lot of what I’m up to personally. I mean, who I hang out with, who visits, etc. But hey, hang tight.

On Tuesday evening, Gokula (from WV) visited. I don’t get a lot of visitors, so I spent a few hours prior to her arrival doing things like cleaning and buying a new heater. When she got here, we mostly just chit chatted till 3:30am. Late night? Yeah, a little. Oh, there was a break for food somewhere around midnight. Gokula wanted Corn Flakes and I obliged.

She came bearing gifts, but more on that in a sec.

The next day I had to work. Gokula hung out with me in the store most of the day. She met Connie, DJ, Marjorie and pretty much everyone except for Corby who was mysterious missing (grrr).

That evening, we thought it would be fun to see the Christmas lights display set up in the Shamokin Dam cemetery. Sadly, only a few of the displays were lit. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s only open on weekends or something.

The idea of having a cheery Christmas lights display in a cemetery is… just weird. But to make everyone feel better about it…

The only thing really lit up was this…

Creepy? My god, yes.

But since everything else was dark, we came back to the apartment and hung out. Oh, and she has socks… with a pig on the big toe….

A pig. On the toe. Hahaha!

She left today around noon, but what a great, nearly surprise, visit! I’m totally Organic Earth Balance!

Oh, and the gifts. Well the first was a really practical one. Three glass bowls with lids. I didn’t even know things like this existed till I saw them at her house over Thanksgiving. I was thrilled!

There were two more. The first was this…

What is it? Well… it’s a blue penguin towel with a hood.

Look! I’m flapping my wings! She said that since it’s cold in my bathroom and I have a shaved head… you do the math.

And it has FEET!

And then there was this…

It’s a silverware caddy. I’ve never seen such a thing before. But look how good it is at holding forks and knives! And look how sad the stupid spoons look! HA! Take THAT spoons!!
