Cold again. (General update)

I’m not sure if it’s a cold snap or just a typical November. But damn it’s cold.

As of right now, my quaint little apartment is without a working heater (not sure why) and is fairly uninsulated. That makes for some chilly nights. My sleeping bag is rated down to 40 degrees, but I was really chilly last night. I wouldn’t think that it would dip under 40.

This seems to be a trend for me and winter. In the past seven years, there have been two winters where I didn’t totally freeze to death. I can’t seem to find an apartment with anywhere near adequate heat.

I’ll be buying a heater to plug into the wall. And one for the bathroom. Showers have been cold. The water runs from lukewarm to slightly hotter than lukewarm. And when the room temp is no higher than 45 or 50, well, that’s chilly.

I want to get a thermometer just to see how chilly my room is. Once I get the heater, this shouldn’t be much of a problem. It’ll still be cold at night, but I can turn it back on in the morning.

God… it’s only November. What the hell will I do in January?

In other news – I sold the blue AllState last night to a really great guy. I’m happy that he got it. Bye bye, cute little AllState.

And I’m heading to New Vrndavana this weekend. I leave whenever Corby gets here. I’m pretty excited about this. Maybe Rati’s house will even have heat!!

My net connection will be limited (though the Saturday tape will post around 9am). Rati only has dialup. I think she’s Amish or something.
