Two democrats who don’t impress me.

God, just two?!

I mean specifically. For this post. But you show me any democrat and I’ll show you a boy who is very unimpressed.

First let’s start with every democrat’s current wet dream. Barack Obama. My god, hardly a day goes by when I don’t hear some local dem raving over how wonderful of a man Obama is. About how he’s going to turn the country around and save us all from the problems that Bush and only Bush and certainly not the democrats are responsible for giving us.

The biggest issue is naturally the Middle East. Where does Obama stand on these things? Well, if this all sounds familiar to you, stop me…

-He does not support bringing the troops home. He’s even pressured the Bush administration to come up with a plan on their own (maybe he’s a bit slow?).

-He “may favor” surgical strikes in Iran AND Pakistan if that’s what it takes to win the war on terror.

-He has boasted that Bush hasn’t been tough enough on terrorism.

-He supported Israel’s messed up bombing campaign against Lebanon this past summer.

-He voted in favor of the Pentagon budget (that gave bunches to Halliburton and similar war profiteers).

So … what the hell is the big deal about this guy? Why are all the dems so in love with him? Well, probably because he’s lovable. Hilary isn’t exactly cuddly. This guy kinda is. Just look at him. Awww. What a sweet, sweet man.

Bullshit. He’s a republican, just like Clinton (both of them).

Oh, and the other dem? This is a short story.

Dem Represenative, Silvestre Reyes, chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (whatever the hell that is) announced in early December that he would like to see the troop count in Iraq boosted by 30,000. Well, alight. Sort of a republican way of dealing with things, but fine.

However, true to the nature of your common democrat politician, as soon as Bush announced that he wanted to sent 20,000 or so more troops, suddenly Reyes was against the idea! Oh no! We could never send that many!

What a little bitch. How can anyone look at themselves in the mirror every morning after voting for these kind of people?
